Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a contact state between a key portion of a rotor core and a key groove of a shaft independently of dispersion of dimensions of the key portion and the key groove, and to maintain the contact state between the key portion and the key groove even when the key portion and the key groove are worn away after fastening the rotor core and the shaft in regard to a rotor for a motor and a manufacturing method of the rotor.SOLUTION: A rotor 10 for a motor includes a rotor core 12 and a shaft 14. The rotor core 12 is composed of a plurality of electromagnetic steel sheets 20 respectively having key portions 22 projected in a radial direction, and laminated in an axial direction. The shaft 14 includes key groove portions 24 each of which is engaged with the key portion 22 by elastically deforming the key portion 22, and is fastened to the rotor core 12. The key portion 22 of the electromagnetic steel sheet 20 has a taper portion 26 formed so that the sheet thickness is gradually reduced to an end portion of the key portion 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
