Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both a reduction in thickness and manufacturing cost in a display device with a position input device having a capacitive position input device built therein.SOLUTION: A display device 100 comprises a display device body 4, a polarization optical element 5, and a capacitive position input device 1. The position input device 1 is arranged between the display device body 4 and polarization optical element 5. The position input device 1 includes a transparent heat-resistant material layer 2 formed of a transparent heat-resistance material and a sensor part 3 that is arranged on one surface of the transparent heat-resistant material layer 2.
