PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge which prevents a slide-contact member from rotating in conjunction with a spool and minimizes burden to an engagement part and an engagement receiving part.SOLUTION: A tape cartridge is provided with a spool 22b, a bottomed cylindrical slide-contact member 35 which is inserted in the spool 22b and slide-contacts with one end surface of the spool 22b, a cartridge case which rotatably supports the spool 22b by a shaft hole 31 arranged on one case wall 20b and a cylindrical shaft part 30 arranged on the other case wall 20a, a coil spring 36 which biases the slide-contact member 35 axially with the cylindrical shaft part 30 as a receiver, and rotation restricting means 37 which restricts rotation of the slide-contact member 35. The slide-contact member 35 includes a spring housing part 41 for housing the coil spring 36, and a flange part 42 which slide-contacts with the one end surface of the spool 22b. The slide-contact member is formed in a cylindrical stepped and tapered shape with a step part 41b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】摺接部材がスプールと連れ回りするのを防止し、且つ、係合部と係合受け部とへの負担を極力小さくすることができるテープカートリッジを提供する。【解決手段】スプール２２ｂと、スプール２２ｂに挿入され、スプール２２ｂの一方の端面に摺接する有底円筒状の摺接部材３５と、一方のケース壁２０ｂに設けた軸穴３１と他方のケース壁２０ａに設けた円筒軸部３０とにより、スプール２２ｂを回転自在に支持するカートリッジケースと、円筒軸部３０を受けとして摺接部材３５を軸方向に付勢するコイルばね３６と、摺接部材３５の回転を規制する回転規制手段３７と、を備え、摺接部材３５は、コイルばね３６を収容するばね収容部４１と、スプール２２ｂの一方の端面に摺接するフランジ部４２と、を有し、段差部４１ｂにより段付き円筒状の先細り形状に形成されている。【選択図】図４
