Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio access system and control method for the radio access system that improve user sensory quality.SOLUTION: A data transmission/reception unit 101 acquires information on surrounding base station devices that include a base station device 2 and another base station device and are capable of communicating with a radio terminal device. A list management unit 102 acquires a communication load on each of the surrounding base station devices. A MC management unit 204 transmits the communication load and identification information on each of the surrounding base station devices to the radio terminal device 3. A handover processing unit 205 changes over a connection destination to a base station device that is selected from the surrounding base station devices and is notified of from the radio terminal device 3. A display control unit 304 receives the communication load and identification information on each of the surrounding base station devices and displays the identification information on each of the surrounding base stations together with the communication load and signal strength so that an operator can select one.
