PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a striking work machine which can suppress noise when an anvil is struck by a rotating hammer.SOLUTION: A striking work machine is equipped with an anvil 19 onto which a turning force is given by a hammer 33 which rotates around an axis A1 and is movable in the axis A1 direction and which is struck in a rotation direction by the hammer, in which the hammer 33 has a recess 62, and the anvil 19 is equipped with a flange 60 which is located in the recess 62. When a turning force required for rotating the anvil 19 is increased and the hammer 33 is moved in the axis A1 direction, an inner peripheral surface 63 of the recess 62 and an outer peripheral surface 61 of the flange 60 maintain the state such that both contact each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】回転するハンマでアンビルを打撃する際の騒音を抑制することの可能な打撃作業機を提供する。【解決手段】軸線Ａ１を中心として回転すると共に軸線Ａ１方向に移動可能なハンマ３３により回転力が加えられ、かつ、回転方向に打撃されるアンビル１９を備えた打撃作業機であって、ハンマ３３は凹部６２を備え、アンビル１９は、凹部６２内に配置されるフランジ６０を備え、アンビル１９を回転させるために必要な回転力が増加してハンマ３３が軸線Ａ１方向に移動する際に、凹部６２の内周面６３と、フランジ６０の外周面６１とが、互いに接触した状態を維持する。【選択図】図６
