PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation device and an evaluation method capable of evaluating an amount of foreign matter that transfers from an inserting sheet onto a glass plate.SOLUTION: An evaluation device 10 according to the present invention is provided with a pressing device 12, a cleaning device 14, and a detection evaluation device 16. An evaluation method according to the present invention is provided with a pressing process, a cleaning process, a detection process, and an evaluation process. In the pressing process, a glass plate 26 and an inserting sheet 34 are pressed together by the pressing device 12 to reproduce a status in which the glass plate 26 is adhered wit foreign matter. In the cleaning process, the glass plate 26 is cleaned by the cleaning device 14 without removing the sticky foreign matter, which has transferred from the inserting sheet 34 onto the glass plate 26. In the detection process and the evaluation process, the foreign matter adhering on the glass plate 26 is detected by the detection evaluation device 16. Then, evaluation of the inserting sheet 34 and the glass plate 26 is performed on the basis of an amount of the detected foreign matter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】合紙からガラス板に付着する異物の量を評価することができる評価装置及び評価方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の評価装置１０は、押圧装置１２、洗浄装置１４、及び検出評価装置１６を備える。本発明の評価方法は、押圧工程、洗浄工程、検出工程及び評価工程を備える。押圧工程にてガラス板２６と合紙３４とを押圧装置１２によって押圧し、異物がガラス板２６に付着する状況を再現する。洗浄工程にてガラス板２６を洗浄装置１４によって洗浄し、合紙３４からガラス板２６に付着した粘着性のある異物を残して洗浄する。検出工程、及び評価工程にてガラス板２６に付着している異物を、検出評価装置１６によって検出する。そして、検出された前記異物の量に基づき、合紙３４及びガラス板２６を評価する。【選択図】図１
