PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square cloth spreading apparatus whose operation does not need to be stopped even when square cloth having a tied portion is fed.SOLUTION: An apparatus for spreading square cloth Y into a square shape includes: traverse chucks 20R and 20L for drawing the square cloth Y while holding one side of the square cloth Y; and a loading table 10 for loading the drawn square cloth Y thereon. At the end parts of the loading table 10, there are provided guides 14 for spreading, in a width direction, the square cloth Y which is drawn onto the loading table 10 while being held by the traverse chuck 20R or 20L. The guides 14 each include: a lateral guide plate 15 which is triangular in a plan view; and a vertical guide plate 16 which is attached to the underside of the lateral guide plate 15 and is vertically long in a side view. The guides 14 each include the vertically long vertical guide plate 16, so that, even when a sheet Y having a tied portion fa is fed, it is prevented from being caught by the guides 14. As a result, the spreading apparatus is prevented from breaking down, and its operation does not need to be stopped, so that productivity is not reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】括り目のある方形状布類が投入されても運転を止めなくてよい方形状布類展開装置を提供する。【解決手段】 方形状布類Ｙを四角形に展開する装置であって、方形状布類Ｙの一辺をつかんで引き込む横行チャック20R，20Lと、引き込まれた方形状布類Ｙを載せる積載台１０とを備えており、積載台１０の端部に、横行チャック20R，20Lでつかんで積載台１０に引き込まれている方形状布類Ｙを幅方向に広げる案内ガイド１４が設けられており、案内ガイド１４が、平面視で三角形の横ガイド板１５と、横ガイド板１５の下面に取付けられた側面視で縦長の縦ガイド板１６とからなる。案内ガイド１４が縦長の縦ガイド板１６を有しているので、括り目ｆａのあるシーツＹが投入されても案内ガイド１４に引っ掛ることがない。このため、展開装置に故障が生じず、運転停止の必要もないので生産性が低下しない。【選択図】図１
