PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cycle controller to easily reflect an intention of a rider on a behavior of a cycle.SOLUTION: A cycle controller includes: an automatic switching function to automatically switch an assist ratio which is a ratio between a man power driving force and a driving force of a motor 12 based on a relation between a reference value related to a travel environment or a travel state of a cycle comprising the motor 12; and a manual switching function to switch the assist ratio based on a manual operation. The cycle controller updates a threshold value based on the reference value when the assist ratio is switched by the manual switching function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ライダーの意図が自転車の挙動に反映されやすい自転車用制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】自転車用制御装置は、モータ１２を備える自転車の走行環境または走行状態に関する値である参照値と、記憶されている閾値との関係に基づいて、人力駆動力とモータ１２の駆動力との比率であるアシスト比を自動的に切り替える自動切替機能、および、マニュアル操作に基づいてアシスト比を切り替える手動切替機能を備える。自転車用制御装置は、手動切替機能によりアシスト比を切り替えたときの参照値に基づいて閾値を更新する。【選択図】図２
