Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the high efficiency of arrival of excitation light from a light-emitting element to a phosphor and the high efficiency of extracting the light emitted from the phosphor to the outside.SOLUTION: Due to that an integrated light source in which a plurality of juxtaposed element light sources are integrated, with a set of light-emitting element and collimator element constituting the element light source, a dichroic reflection element in which an area that selectively reflects the light of radiation wavelength of the light-emitting element is selectively provided at a place that each of beams outputted from the integrated light source impinges on, a light focusing element for focusing the beams, and a phosphor for absorbing the light of radiation wavelength of the light-emitting element and discharging fluorescence in other wavelength bands are included, a mixed divergent beam of the fluorescence discharged from the light-focusing area on the surface of the phosphor and the residual excitation light reflected from the light-focusing area is generated, and also the mixed divergent beam propagates the light-focusing element in a direction opposite the focused beam, and is converted into a beam that forms a remote image and transmitted by the dichroic reflection element, with a mixed output beam being outputted to the outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】発光素子から蛍光体への励起光の高い到達効率と、蛍光体から発した光の外部への高い取出し効率とを達成すること。【解決手段】発光素子とコリメータ素子との組を要素光源として、要素光源の複数個を並べて集積した集積光源と、発光素子の放射波長の光を選択的に反射する領域を、集積光源から出力される、それぞれの光束が当たる箇所に選択的に設けたダイクロイック反射素子と、光束を集光するための集光素子と、発光素子の放射波長の光を励起光として吸収して他の波長帯域の蛍光を放出する蛍光体と、を具備することによって、蛍光体の表面上の集光領域から放出される蛍光と、集光領域から反射される残余励起光との混合発散光束が生成されるとともに、混合発散光束は、集光素子を、集束光束とは逆方向に伝搬して遠方の像を形成する光束に変換され、ダイクロイック反射素子によって透過されて、外部に混合出力光束を出力する。【選択図】図1 |
