PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spent fuel pool water level measuring apparatus that can be used without the need to fix the apparatus to a spent fuel pool wall below the water surface of a spent fuel pool.SOLUTION: A water level measuring apparatus comprises: a plurality of water level detectors 4-1 to 4-n each for measuring a water level of a spent fuel pool 10 accommodating cooling water 15; and a water-level-detector protection pipe 2 for storing the water level detectors 4-1 to 4-n. The water-level-detector protection pipe 2 has a structure that can be accommodated in a spent fuel rack 9.
