Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for internal combustion engine which reconciles falling prevention and protection of a resistor, while reducing voids in resin in a high voltage tower part.SOLUTION: Internal diameter of the proximal end side portion 332 of a tower insertion hole 33 is larger than the external diameter at the maximum external diameter portion of a resistor 5. Internal diameter of the distal end side portion 331 of the tower insertion hole 33 is larger than the external diameter of the proximal end side portion of a coil spring, and equal to or less than the external diameter at the maximum external diameter portion of the resistor 5. An ignition coil is configured so that the maximum external diameter portion of the resistor 5 is received by the distal end side portion 331 of the tower insertion hole 33, and a clearance S is formed between the resistor 5 and a high voltage cap 6, in a state where the coil spring is drawn out from the tower insertion hole 33.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】抵抗体の脱落防止及び抵抗体の保護を両立し、かつ、高圧タワー部における樹脂内ボイドを低減する内燃機関用点火コイルを提供する。【解決手段】タワー挿通穴33の基端側部分332の内径は、抵抗体5の最大外径部の外径よりも大きくなっている。タワー挿通穴33の先端側部分331の内径は、コイルスプリングの基端側部分の外径よりも大きく、かつ抵抗体5の最大外径部の外径以下になっている。点火コイルは、コイルスプリングがタワー挿通穴33から抜き出された状態において、タワー挿通穴33の先端側部分331によって抵抗体5の最大外径部が受け止められるとともに、抵抗体5と高圧キャップ6との間に隙間Sが形成されるよう構成される。【選択図】図3 |
