PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the generation of transfer memory.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes photoreceptor drums 41y to 41k, destaticization devices 45y to 45k, transfer rollers 54y to 54k, a transfer power supply device, and energizing members 542y to 542k. The photoreceptor drums 41y to 41k are arranged along the travel direction of a transfer target body 51. The destaticization devices 45y to 45k destaticize the photoreceptor drums 41y to 41k adjacent to the upstream side in the travel direction of the transfer target body 51. Further, the destaticization devices 45y to 45m destaticize the photoreceptor drums 41c to 41k adjacent to the downstream side. The transfer power supply device applies a potential to each of the transfer rollers 54y to 54k. The energizing members 542y to 542k energize the transfer rollers 54y to 54k toward the photoreceptor drums 41y to 41k.
