Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively attain a device that detects an absolute position of a rotor of a rotary valve.SOLUTION: A position detection device comprises: a position detection unit that has a position detection plate, and a plurality of sensors. The position detection plate is configured to rotate in conjunction with a rotor, and has a notch part at a circumferential part of a principal plane. The sensor is configured to detect presence or absence of the notch part at a plurality of positions on a rotation orbit of the notch part. The notch part of position detection plate and the sensor are designed so that a combination pattern of a detection signal of each sensor when the rotor is aligned with each position having an output port connected to an input port is all made different. Signal pattern data on the combination pattern of the detection signal of each sensor and the position of the rotor in the case of the combination pattern is held in a signal pattern holding unit. On the basis of the detection signal of each sensor and the signal pattern data, an absolute position of the rotor is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ロータリバルブのロータの絶対位置を検出する装置を安価に実現する。【解決手段】位置検出装置は、位置検出用プレートと複数のセンサを有する位置検出部を備えている。位置検出用プレートは、ロータに連動して回転し、その主平面の周縁部に切欠き部を有する。センサは、切欠き部の回転軌道上の複数の位置で切欠き部の有無を検出する。位置検出用プレートの切欠き部とセンサは、出力ポートが入力ポートに接続される各位置にロータが位置決めされたときの各センサの検出信号の組合せパターンがすべて異なるように設計されている。各センサの検出信号の組合せパターンとそのときのロータの位置との信号パターンデータは信号パターン保持部に保持されており、各センサの検出信号と信号パターンデータに基づいてロータの絶対位置を検出する。【選択図】 図1
