Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a wood chip for fuel for subjecting a wood chip to dehydration treatment in order to use the wood chip as a fuel that obtains a wood chip having a water content of 30-40%, which is suitable for being used as the fuel.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a wood chip for fuel includes: a step of determining a flat or slender wood chip which has a water content of 50% or more containing free water and has a thickness in a direction perpendicular to a fiber, as a target, and pressure-dehydrating a chip mat from the thickness direction by a press, in which the wood chips are arrayed and piled while regarding a major axis direction of the fiber of the wood chip as a parallel direction, with a press machine of which a pair of facing press surfaces have a fixed area are equal to each other. The pressing step includes: a) a first step of removing air existing in the chip mat; b) a second step of applying a compressive pressure of 15-25 MPa at the maximum in the thickness direction of the chip, and discharging the free water accumulated in lumen to the outside of the cell; and c) a third step of discharging the residual free water after having been held for 30 seconds or more in the second step, and setting the water content of the wood chip at 30-40%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】木材チップを燃料として利用するために脱水処理する燃料用木材チップの製造方法について、燃料として利用するに適した30〜40%の含水率の木材チップを得られるようにする。【解決手段】 本発明は、自由水を含む含水率50%以上で、繊維直角方向を厚さとする扁平又は細長の木材チップを対象とし、相対する一対の一定面積を備えたプレス面が互いに等間隔のプレス機によって、該木材チップの繊維長軸方向を平行方向に配列して堆積したチップマットの厚さ方向からプレスで加圧脱水する工程を備え、該加圧工程が、a)チップマット内に存する空気を抜く第1工程と、b)チップの厚さ方向に最大15〜25MPaの圧縮圧力を加えて、細胞内腔に溜まった自由水を細胞外に排出させる第2工程と、c)第2工程で30秒以上保持して残存する自由水を排出し、木材チップの含水率を30〜40%とする第3工程とから成る。【選択図】 図3 |
