Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heat-treating a glass substrate, capable of reducing the damage of the end surface of a glass substrate.SOLUTION: In the heat treating method, a glass substrate 1 is placed on a sintering setter 2 as shown in the Figure 1 (a) and the Figure 1 (b). In detail, the upper surface 2a of the setter 2 is smaller than the lower surface 1a of the glass substrate 1, and a non-contact part 1d non-contacted with the upper surface 2a of the setter 2 is formed over the entire circumference of a peripheral edge portion 1c of the glass substrate 1. The damage of an end surface 1b can be suppressed by providing the non-contact part 1d even when the setter 2 is warped on the side of the glass substrate 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
