Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission reception system and a transmitter receiver where power consumption is reduced compared with a case for emitting light from a plurality of optical transmission units, regardless of whether or not a transmission path is connected, in a configuration for transmitting optical signals from the plurality of optical transmission units to the opposite device via a plurality of transmission paths.SOLUTION: An optical transmission reception system 1 includes a first transmitter receiver 2 having a plurality of first optical transmission units 21a-21d, and a first optical reception unit 22, and a second transmitter receiver 4 having a plurality of second optical reception units 41a-41d, and a second optical transmission unit 42.
