Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely mount a component while shortening the tact time of component mounting in the mounting head of a surface mounting machine for vacuum sucking and mounting a component on a substrate by a nozzle.SOLUTION: The mounting head of a surface mounting machine includes: a spool valve for allowing a spool 61 to move from an initial position A to a positive pressure switching position C for performing switching to a positive pressure supply path 62b; control means for controlling the movement of the spool 61; and a landing detection sensor for detecting that a component sucked by a nozzle has landed on the substrate. The control means is configured to, before the component sucked by the nozzle has landed on the substrate, allow the spool 61 to move to a preparatory position B between the initial position A and the positive pressure switching position C, and to, when the landing of the component is detected by the landing detection sensor, allow the spool 61 to move from the preparatory position B to the positive pressure switching position C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】ノズルにより部品を真空吸着して基板に実装する表面実装機の実装ヘッドにおいて、部品実装のタクトタイムを短縮しつつ、確実に部品を実装できるようにすること。【解決手段】スプール61を初期位置Aから正圧切替位置Cへ移動させることにより、正圧供給経路62bへの切替えを行うスプールバルブと、スプール61の移動を制御する制御手段と、ノズルに吸着された部品が基板に着地したことを検知する着地検知センサと備えた表面実装機の実装ヘッドである。前記制御手段は、ノズルに吸着された部品が基板に着地する前に、スプール61を初期位置Aと正圧切替位置Cとの間にある準備位置Bまで移動させ、前記着地検知センサが部品の着地を検知したら、スプール61を準備位置Bから正圧切替位置Cまで移動させる。【選択図】図8
