Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tsunami monitoring system capable of directly and fully accurately predicting a wave height of an arriving tsunami.SOLUTION: The tsunami monitoring system is provided with a transmission antenna that emits, as an electric wave, a transmission signal that is for detecting the tsunami toward a sea surface, and a reception antenna that receives, as a reception signal, a reflection wave reflected by the tsunami. The tsunami monitoring system further comprises: signal generation means that generates the transmission signal having a predetermined frequency; a signal processing part that generates a beat signal having a frequency of a frequency difference between the transmission signal and the reception signal; a wave height estimation part that divides an electric wave radiation range into a plurality ranges and calculates, for each range, a flow rate on the sea surface of the tsunami on the basis of the beat signal; a tsunami simulation part that executes simulation of behavior of the tsunami for each measurement sampling period on the basis of the calculated flow rate of the sea surface of the tsunami to calculate the wave height of the tsunami for each time and calculate an arrival wave height of the tsunami at each time on the basis of the calculated wave height of the tsunami at each of the time; and an arrival prediction part that predicts an arrival time and an arrival wave height of the tsunami on the basis of the calculated arrival wave height of the tsunami at each of the time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】到来する津波の波高を十分な精度で直接的に予測することができる津波監視システムを提供する。【解決手段】津波を検出するための送信信号を電波として海面に向かって放射する送信アンテナと、津波に反射された反射波を受信信号として受信する受信アンテナとを備えた津波監視システムにおいて、所定の周波数を有する送信信号を発生する信号発生手段と、送信信号と受信信号との周波数差の周波数を有するビート信号を生成する信号処理部と、電波照射領域を複数の領域に分割し、各領域ごとに、ビート信号に基づいて、津波の海面の流速を算出する波高推定部と、算出された津波の海面の流速に基づいて、津波の挙動のシミュレーションを計測サンプル周期ごとに実行して各時刻での津波の波高を算出し、算出された各時刻での津波の波高に基づいて、各時刻での津波の到達波高を算出する津波シミュレーション部と、算出された各時刻での津波の到達波高に基づいて、津波に対する到達時間及び到達波高を予測する到達予測部とを備える。【選択図】図1
