PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve touch feeling of a leg gather, air permeability, and absorbency of a liquid.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises a pair of liquid impermeable side sheets 40 at both left and right sides on a skin facing surface side of a liquid permeable top sheet 20. The side sheet 40 has a joint area 42 joined to the skin facing surface of the top sheet 20, and a standing area 43 positioned at the inner side in a width direction from the joint area 42. At least a part of the standing area 43 is a free portion 43a not joined to the top sheet 20. One or a plurality of solid gather elastic members 50 are fixed to the free portion 43a. The top sheet 20 has extension parts 21 extending widely toward left and right outer sides in the width direction from the joint areas 42 of the side sheets 40. One or a plurality of leg gather elastic members 60 are fixed to the extension parts 21 in an extended state along a longitudinal direction, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】レッグギャザーの肌触りや，通気性，液体の吸収性を向上させる。【解決手段】本発明は，液透過性のトップシート２０の肌対向面側の左右両側に，一対の液不透過性のサイドシート４０を備える吸収性物品である。サイドシート４０は，トップシート２０の肌対向面に接合された接合領域４２と，この接合領域４２よりも幅方向の内側に位置する起立領域４３を有し，この起立領域４３の少なくとも一部がトップシート２０に接合されていない自由部分４３ａとなっており，この自由部分４３ａには一又は複数の立体ギャザー伸縮部材５０が固定されている。トップシート２０は，サイドシート４０の接合領域４２よりも幅方向の左右外側に向かって幅広に延出した延出部２１を有し，この延出部２１には，それぞれ，長手方向に沿った伸長状態で一又は複数のレッグギャザー伸縮部材６０が固定されている。【選択図】図２
