PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an area information estimation device capable of improving estimation accuracy with a simple method by estimating a piece of information on a sensing area based on a detection result of a person from camera images.SOLUTION: An area information estimation device 2 includes: a camera 21 for picking up images in a sensing area; a person detection part 22 that detects a person from a camera images; and a position calculation section 23 that calculates an existing position in a sensing area of the person based on a coordinate on the image where the person is detected by the person detection part.
