PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install an airbag enlarging a chamber on a front side in the inside of a front pillar, without a restriction on a layout and the breakage of a front pillar garnish.SOLUTION: An installation structure of a curtain airbag device 11 to a front pillar 3 is provided. An airbag 12 is provided with a duct 12b for introducing gas generated by an inflator 13 into a plurality of chambers 12a, over generally the whole length in a fore-and-aft direction of a vehicle. A front pillar garnish 1 is provided with a pedestal 16 which has a reaction force surface 16a projecting out to the front pillar, around a pin 15 inserted in an installation hole 3a to fix the front pillar garnish 1 to the front pillar 3. The airbag 12 is disposed so as to push the reaction force surface 16a by the duct 12b bulging in a direction extracting the pin 15 from the installation hole 3a at a deployment early stage, when the airbag 12 is deployed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】レイアウト上の制約がなく、フロントピラーガーニッシュが破損することなく、前方側のチャンバーを大きくしたエアバッグをフロントピラーの内部に設置する。【解決手段】カーテンエアバッグ装置１１のフロントピラー３への設置構造である。エアバッグ１２は、複数のチャンバー１２ａにインフレータ１３で発生させたガスを導入するためのダクト１２ｂを、車両の前後方向の略全長に亘って設ける。フロントピラーガーニッシュ１は、取付孔３ａに挿入してフロントピラーガーニッシュ１をフロントピラー３に固定するピン１５の周囲に、フロントピラー方向に突出する反力面１６ａを有する台座１６を設ける。エアバッグ１２の展開時、ピン１５を取付孔３ａから引き抜く方向に、展開初期に膨らむダクト１２ｂが反力面１６ａを押すように、エアバッグ１２を配置する。【選択図】図１
