Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode foil that is excellent in adhesion between a metal base material and a porous layer in order to implement a small-size and large-capacity design of an electrolytic capacitor without degrading reliability.SOLUTION: An electrode foil has a metal base material, and a porous layer comprising a sintered body of valve action metal powder formed on the metal base material. The porous layer is constructed by valve action metal having a higher melting point than the metal base material or alloy of the valve action metal.
