Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a designable and weather-resistant steel material having a rust layer excellent in designability and protection properties on the surface of a weather-resistant steel material and having an approximately stripe pattern.SOLUTION: A designable and weather-resistant steel material 1 is subjected to a predetermined processing on the surface 2a of a weather-resistant steel material 2. On the surface 2a of the weather-resistant steel material 2, a deep color portion A and a thin color portion B are alternately continued by performing a plurality of wetting and drying cycles of alternately repeating the wetting step of spraying and drying a treatment solution including at least Cu and P having a molar ratio of 0.1≤Cu/P≤20 and one or more kinds of salts selected from lithium chloride, magnesium chloride and calcium chloride and spraying water for 30-120 seconds and the drying step of drying the water for 10 minutes or more to form a rust layer having an approximately stripe pattern.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】耐候性鋼材の表面に意匠性及び保護性に優れた略ストライプ模様の錆層を生成させた意匠性耐候性鋼材を提供する。【解決手段】所定の処理を耐候性鋼材2の表面2aに施した意匠性耐候性鋼材1に関するものであり、耐候性鋼材2の表面2aは、少なくとも、モル比で0.1≦Cu/P≦20のCuとP、及び塩化リチウム、塩化マグネシウム、塩化カルシウムから選ばれる1種以上の塩を含む処理液が散布されて、処理液を乾燥させた後に30秒〜120秒の水の散布が実施される湿潤工程と、10分以上の乾燥が実施される乾燥工程とを、交互に繰り返す湿潤乾燥サイクルが複数回実施されることによって、濃色部分Aと薄色部分Bとを交互に連続させて、略ストライプ模様の錆層が形成される。【選択図】図1
