PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum type washing machine which reduces blackening of clothing after washing by suppressing reattachment of dirt detached from the clothing.SOLUTION: A drum type washing machine includes a dirt concentration detection unit 18 for detecting dirt concentration of washing water in a water tub 2, and a control unit 20. The control unit 20 includes an agitation step of washing clothing by rotationally driving a rotary drum in a washing step, and it also has a blackening suppressing course separately from a standard course. In the washing step of the blackening suppressing course, a first washing operation is executed in which a first agitation step is performed in first agitation step time T1 which is shorter than a predetermined agitation step time in the washing step of the standard course and then, the washing water in the water tub 2 is drained to a predetermined water level Ls, and then, an additional washing operation in which new washing water is supplied, the new agitation step is performed and the water is drained is executed by a predetermined number of times. In the first agitation step, dirt concentration of the washing water is detected by the dirt concentration detection unit 18, and by the detected dirt level of the dirt concentration, the predetermined water level Ls for draining water after the first agitation step is determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】衣類から脱離した汚れの再付着を抑えて洗濯後の衣類の黒ずみを低減するドラム式洗濯機を提供する。【解決手段】水槽２内の洗濯水の汚れ濃度を検知する汚れ濃度検知部１８と、制御部２０とを備え、制御部２０は、洗い工程において回転ドラムを回転駆動して衣類を洗う撹拌工程を含むとともに、標準コースとは別に黒ずみ抑制コースを有し、黒ずみ抑制コースの洗い工程において、標準コースの洗い工程における所定の撹拌工程時間より短い第１の撹拌工程時間Ｔ１で第１の撹拌工程を行って水槽２内の洗濯水を所定水位Ｌｓまで排水する１回目の洗い動作を実行し、その後、新しい洗濯水を給水し、新たに撹拌工程を行って排水する追加の洗い動作を所定回数だけ実行するものであって、第１の撹拌工程において汚れ濃度検知部１８により洗濯水の汚れ濃度を検知し、この検知した汚れ濃度の汚れレベルによって、第１の撹拌工程後に排水する所定水位Ｌｓを決定する。【選択図】図１
