PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prolongs the life of a cleaning member for cleaning an image carrier.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: an intermediate transfer belt 51 as an image carrier; a cleaning blade 504 for cleaning toner on the intermediate transfer belt 51; a scraping sheet part 500 that is disposed vertically lower than the cleaning blade 504 and contacts with the intermediate transfer belt 51. The scraping sheet part 500 includes a folding part 503; an elastic sheet 501 that is connected to the folding part 503 and extends in the direction away from the folding part 503; and a contact sheet 502 that is disposed between the elastic sheet 501 and the intermediate transfer belt 51 and is pressed against the intermediate transfer belt 51 by the elastic sheet 501.
