PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an H-steel cooling structure and cooling method capable of effectively cooling H-steel.SOLUTION: An H-steel cooling structure includes: a jacket that is provided in a space formed on an in-furnace side by two flange parts and an H-steel web part forming a furnace body of a flash furnace, contacts with or abuts on through a heat conductive member a surface forming the surfaces of the web part and two flange parts forming the space, and covers the in-furnace side end surface of the flange part; and a refrigerant path that is provided inside the jacket, and in which refrigerant circulates.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】Ｈ鋼を効果的に冷却することが可能なＨ鋼の冷却構造体および冷却方法を提供すること。【解決手段】自溶炉の炉体を形成するＨ鋼のウェブ部および２つのフランジ部により炉内側に形成される空間に設けられ、前記ウェブ部および２つの前記フランジ部の前記空間を形成する面に接触または熱伝導性部材を介して当着するとともに、前記フランジ部の炉内側端面を覆うジャケットと、前記ジャケットの内部に設けられ、冷媒が流通する冷媒路と、を備えるＨ鋼の冷却構造体。【選択図】図３
