Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control unit adjusting the quantity of air passing through a catalyst during a fuel-cut operation of an internal engine, and capable of heating the catalyst when the internal combustion engine is controlled to perform the fuel cut operation in a state in which the temperature of the catalyst is low.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an internal combustion engine control unit for adjusting the quantity of air passing through a catalyst during a fuel cut operation of an internal combustion engine, the control unit is configured so that when the fuel cut operation is executed in a state in which a temperature of the catalyst is relatively low to be equal to or higher than an activation temperature, the control unit sets the quantity of the air passing through the catalyst in a period which is right after start of the fuel cut operation and in which the catalyst is in a rich atmosphere larger than the quantity thereof in a subsequent period in which the catalyst is turned into a lean atmosphere.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】本発明は、内燃機関のフューエルカット運転中に触媒を通過する空気量を調整する内燃機関の制御装置において、触媒の温度が低い状態で内燃機関がフューエルカット運転されたときに、触媒を昇温させることを課題とする。【解決手段】本発明は、内燃機関のフューエルカット運転中に触媒を通過する空気量を調整する内燃機関の制御装置において、触媒の温度が活性温度以上の比較的低い状態でフューエルカット運転が行われた場合に、フューエルカット運転開始直後の触媒がリッチ雰囲気となる期間では、その後に触媒がリーン雰囲気となる期間に比べ、触媒を通過する空気量が多くなるようにした。【選択図】図4
