Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid type circuit breaker which improves a cutoff function and reliability and in which a two-way semiconductor switch is connected in parallel to a mechanical switch.SOLUTION: In the hybrid type circuit breaker, a two-way semiconductor switch 3 is connected in parallel to a main contact 21 of a mechanical switch 2. When opening the mechanical switch 2, a main circuit current is commutated to the semiconductor switch 3 and OFF control is performed on the semiconductor switch 3, thereby cutting off the main circuit current. A two-way switch that is configured by connecting two reverse blocking IGBT 4-1 and 4-2 in anti-parallel is connected in parallel to the mechanical switch. ON/OFF control is performed by applying an arc voltage of the main contact which is generated when opening the mechanical switch, to gates of the reverse blocking IGBT. Auxiliary contacts 22-1 and 22-2 which perform delayed opening operations later than opening of the main contact 21 are interposed and connected to a gate drive circuit 9, thereby preventing erroneous ignition of the reverse blocking IGBT just after cut-off of the main circuit current commutated from the mechanical switch 2 to the semiconductor switch 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】遮断機能,信頼性の向上を図った機械式スイッチに双方向半導体スイッチを並列接続したハイブリッド形開閉器を提供する。【解決手段】機械式スイッチ2の主接点21に双方向半導体スイッチ3を並列接続し、機械式スイッチ2の開極時に主回路電流を半導体スイッチ3に転流させ、この半導体スイッチ3をOFF制御して主回路電流を遮断するようにしたハイブリッド形開閉器において、2個の逆阻止型IGBT4−1,4−2を逆並列接続してなる双方向スイッチを機械式スイッチに並列接続し、機械式スイッチの開極時に発生する主接点のアーク電圧を逆阻止型IGBTのゲートに印加してON,OFF制御するようにするとともに、そのゲート駆動回路9には主接点21の開極に遅れて遅延開極動作する補助接点22−1,22−2を介挿接続し、機械式スイッチ2から半導体スイッチ3に転流した主回路電流の遮断直後に逆阻止型IGBTが誤点弧するのを防止する。【選択図】図1
