PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a fuel cell capable of suppressing reduction in output of a fuel cell stack caused by contamination induced by metal cation ions.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a fuel cell includes at inspection before shipment of the fuel cell: performing humidification operation for providing a fuel cell with an anode gas and a cathode gas by humidifying them; measuring pH of generation water generated from the fuel cell; and performing again humidification operation applied to generation water exhibiting measured pH less than or equal to a predetermined value representing acidity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】金属カチオンイオンによるコンタミネーションに起因する燃料電池スタックの出力低下を抑制することができる燃料電池の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】この燃料電池の製造方法は、燃料電池の出荷前検査時に、アノードガス及びカソードガスを加湿して燃料電池に供給する加湿運転を行う工程と、燃料電池から生じる生成水のｐＨを測定する工程と、測定で得られたｐＨが酸性を示す所定値以下のものについて加湿運転を再度行う工程と、を有する。【選択図】図１
