Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the performance of an I/O access in response to scale-out.SOLUTION: A storage control device #1, in response to scale-out of a storage system 100, references performance information on a first path and extracts the first path, which is the object of load decentralization of an I/O access. The storage control device #1 creates a virtual disk having the same capacitance as a virtual disk to which the first path, the object of load decentralization, is to be connected. The storage control device #1 sets a first path for connecting a new virtual disk to a host device and a second path for connecting the new virtual disk to an added HDD.
