Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and quick method for detecting foreign matter in a solidified glass body.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for detecting foreign matter in a solidified glass body by a laser ablation inductively-coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (LA-ICP-AES method) in which YAG-5ω laser is used as a light source. This method includes a step of, by linear irradiation of laser beams, measuring (a) local ICP emission intensity of an element peculiar to the foreign matter or a change in the ICP emission intensity, or (b) local concentration of an oxide peculiar to the foreign matter or a change in concentration thereof, and then detecting the foreign matter which is mixed into or unevenly distributed in the solidified glass body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】簡単で迅速なガラス固化体中の異物の検出方法を提供する。【解決手段】YAG−5ωレーザが光源として用いられるレーザアブレーション法誘導結合プラズマ発光分光分析法(LA法ICP−AES)によるガラス固化体中の異物の検出方法が、当該レーザ光の線状照射により、(a)異物に特有な元素の局所的なICP発光強度又はICP発光強度の変化、若しくは(b)異物に特有な酸化物の局所的な濃度又は濃度変化が測定され、ガラス固化体中に混入又は偏在する異物が検出される工程を含む。【選択図】図1
