Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide monoclonal antibodies usable for prevention, treatment and diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease and other neurodegenerative diseases.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a monoclonal antibody comprising a variable heavy chain and a variable light chain where the three complementarity determining region (CDR) of respective variable heavy chain and variable light chain have specified amino acid sequences, and the monoclonal antibody binds to an amyloid beta protein globulomer with higher specificity than to an amyloid beta protein monomer. The monoclonal antibody is produced by a hybridoma having American Type Culture Collection Designation Number PTA-7238.
