Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for internal combustion engine capable of prolonging the life, by suppressing occurrence of peeling in the interface of a core cover and a filling resin or progress of peeling.SOLUTION: An ignition coil 1 includes a primary coil 21, a secondary coil 22, a center core 5, an outer peripheral core 6, a core cover 7, a case 11 and a filling resin 13. The core cover 7 is formed to cover the internal surface 61 in the peripheral core 6, one end face 62 in the penetration direction L, and the other end face 63 in the penetration direction L. A plurality of long grooves 76 are formed entirely in the internal surface, lateral surface, and one end face in the penetration direction L of a wall 75 formed at a part of the secondary coil 22 located on the high voltage side, of a one end side cover facing the one end face 62 in the penetration direction L, in the core cover 7. The plurality of long grooves 76 are filled with the filling resin 13 filling the case 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】コアカバーと充填樹脂との界面における剥離の発生又は剥離の進展を抑制し、寿命を引き延ばすことができる内燃機関用点火コイルを提供する。【解決手段】点火コイル1は、一次コイル21、二次コイル22、中心コア5、外周コア6、コアカバー7、ケース11及び充填樹脂13を備えている。コアカバー7は、外周コア6における内側面61、貫通方向Lの一端面62、及び貫通方向Lの他端面63を覆う形状に形成されている。コアカバー7における、外周コア6の貫通方向Lの一端面62に対向する一端側カバー部であって、二次コイル22の高圧側に位置する部位に形成された壁部75の内側面、外側面、貫通方向Lの一端面の全てには、複数の長溝76が形成されている。複数の長溝76内は、ケース11内を充填する充填樹脂13によって充填されている。【選択図】図1
