Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system capable of clearly describing that a program and video are transmitted by a transmission specification capable of transmitting an image signal capable of representing a wider color gamut than a current compressed color gamut to a user, and further to provide an image processing device and an image processing method.SOLUTION: An image processing device comprises: separation means; extraction means; determination means; and reproduction color gamut management means. The separation means separates control information from an image signal acquired. The extraction means extracts color gamut information from the control information separated by the separation means. The determination means determines the color gamut information extracted by the extraction means to include description that the color gamut information corresponds to a second specification capable of representing wide color gamut in comparison with a first specification. The reproduction color gamut management means holds determination results of the determination means so as to allow identification information indicating that an image is produced by the second specification to be displayed on an information display corresponding to an image signal of an object when the determination results of the determination means correspond to the second specification.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】圧縮された現行の色域よりも広い色域を表現できる画像信号を伝送可能な伝送規格により伝送される番組や映像であることをユーザーに明示可能な画像処理システム及び装置ならびに画像処理方法を提供する。【解決手段】実施形態の画像処理装置は、分離手段と、抽出手段と、判定手段と、再現色域管理手段と、を具備する。分離手段は、取得した画像信号から制御情報を分離する。抽出手段は、分離手段が分離した制御情報から色域情報を抽出する。判定手段は、抽出手段が抽出した色域情報が第一の規格に比較して広い色域を表現可能な第二の規格対応であることの記述を含むことを判定する。再現色域管理手段は、判定手段の判定結果が第二の規格対応である場合、対象の画像信号に対応する情報表示に、第二の規格で製作された画像であることを示す識別情報を表示可能に、判定手段の判定結果を保持する。【選択図】図２
