Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver capable of preventing noise from being generated by LCD included in an output voice, without considerably changing a configuration.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle device 1 includes: an FM radio tuner 16 for receiving a FM broadcast wave in a preset reception frequency; an FM radio control section 52; an LCD unit 22 capable of changing a horizontal synchronization frequency corresponding to each of lines in a horizontal direction by varying a horizontal blanking period in the horizontal direction without changing the number of effective pixels and an effective display period of display in the horizontal direction and a vertical direction; a horizontal synchronizing frequency setting section 54 for setting the horizontal synchronization frequency in such a manner that a minimum value of a difference between the reception frequency of the FM broadcast wave and a multiplication frequency that is an integer multiple of the horizontal synchronization frequency, becomes equal to or greater than a predetermined value; and a video drawing processing section 20 which generates a video signal required for displaying an operation screen or a manipulation screen corresponding to a receiving operation of the FM broadcast wave on the LCD unit 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】出力音声に含まれるLCDに起因するノイズの発生を、大幅な構成の変更を行うことなく防止することが可能な放送受信装置を提供すること。【解決手段】車載装置1は、設定された受信周波数のFM放送波を受信するFMラジオチューナ16、FMラジオ制御部52と、水平方向および垂直方向に沿った表示の有効画素数および有効表示期間は変えずに水平方向に沿った水平ブランキング期間を可変することにより、水平方向の各ラインに対応する水平同期周波数を変更することが可能なLCDユニット22と、FM放送波の受信周波数と水平同期周波数を整数倍した逓倍周波数の差の最小値が所定値以上となるように水平同期周波数を設定する水平同期周波数設定部54と、FM放送波の受信動作に対応する動作画面や操作画面をLCDユニット22に表示するために必要な映像信号を生成する映像描画処理部20とを備えている。【選択図】図1
