Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the processing load required for searching for a corresponding feature point.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 10 includes: a storage section 11 which stores arrangement information indicating an arrangement rule set so as to align positions of pixel pairs arranged in image areas in an overlap area where the image areas overlap each other, of pixel pairs arranged in a common arrangement rule in each of a plurality of image areas partially overlapping each other; and a calculation section 12 which uses a set of feature quantities of the pixel pairs arranged in the arrangement rule in the image areas, as feature quantities of the image areas, to determine similarity between a first image and a second image, on the basis of a distance between the feature quantity of the image area set in the first image and the feature quantity of the image area set in the second image.
