PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing cartridge that can move a shutter from a state of partitioning a developing chamber and a developer storage chamber to a state of communicating the developing chamber and the developer storage chamber, and can suppress damage to an agitator.SOLUTION: A developing cartridge 1 includes: a developing roller 3; a housing 2 that has a developing chamber 40 and a toner storage chamber 41; an agitator 5; a shutter 30 that partitions the developing chamber 40 and the toner storage chamber 41; a developing coupling 63 that receives a driving force from a printer 10; agitator gears 67 that are respectively fixed to the ends of an agitator shaft 55; and shutter driving gears 69 that each rotate from a first position to a second position and have an engaging portion 91 engaging with the shutter 30 at the second position. The shutter 30 is moved from a closed position to partition the developing chamber 40 and the toner storage chamber 41 to an open position to engage with the engaging portion 91 to communicate the developing chamber 40 and the toner storage chamber 41.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】シャッタを、現像室と現像剤収容室とを区画する状態から、現像室と現像剤収容室とを連通させる状態に移動させることができながら、アジテータが破損することを抑制できる現像カートリッジを提供すること。【解決手段】現像カートリッジ１に、現像ローラ３と、現像室４０とトナー収容室４１とを有する筐体２と、アジテータ５と、現像室４０とトナー収容室４１とを区画するシャッタ３０と、プリンタ１０からの駆動力を受ける現像カップリング６３と、アジテータ軸５５の端部に固定されるアジテータギア６７と、第１位置から第２位置に回転し、第２位置においてシャッタ３０と係合する係合部分９１を有するシャッタ駆動ギア６９とを備える。そして、シャッタ３０を、現像室４０とトナー収容室４１とを区画する閉鎖位置から、係合部分９１と係合させ現像室４０とトナー収容室４１とを連通する開放位置に移動させる。【選択図】図８
