Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel having a photo-alignment layer, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A display panel includes a thin-film transistor substrate, and a photo-alignment layer. The thin-film transistor substrate includes a plurality of pixel cells, and each pixel cell includes a plurality of sub-pixels. When a beam of light passes each sub-pixel, a dark stripe pattern appears in the display panel. The dark stripe pattern includes a first main dark stripe and a first sub-dark stripe. The first main dark stripe extends in a first direction, and has a width of the first main dark stripe in a central part of the first main dark stripe. The first sub-dark stripe is connected to the first main dark stripe, extends in a second direction, and has a width of the first sub-dark stripe in a central part of the first sub-dark stripe.
