Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure for an electric motor having both a high cooling property and high mass-productivity.SOLUTION: The cooling structure includes: a motor body including a rotor and a stator; a casing which includes a cylindrical peripheral wall surrounding the motor body and an end wall extending radially insides from one end of the peripheral wall and is formed by integrally molding the peripheral wall and the end wall with the same material; and a cover member that is attached on an outer surface of the end wall of the casing. The casing includes: a peripheral wall cooling flow passage which is formed within the thickness of the peripheral wall and in which a coolant flows; and an end wall cooling flow passage which is formed in the end wall and communicated to the peripheral wall cooling flow passage. A recess that is formed on the outer surface of the end wall is covered by the cover member, such that the end wall cooling flow passage is formed from an inner wall surface of the recess and a wall surface of the cover member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】高い冷却性と高い量産性を兼ね備えた電動モータの冷却構造を提供する。
