Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device can suppress a wax vaporized component from passing through an exhaust part with a simple configuration, without a harmful effect in a case where an inner wall member is brought close to a fixing member along an airflow path to narrow the path.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: a first rotor; an opposing body that forms a first nip part; a second rotor that forms a second nip part; heating means for heating the first rotor; and a cover member that covers at least parts of the first and second rotors, and fixes by heat a toner image containing a wax to a recording material with the first nip part. The fixing device includes a regulation member that is provided in an airflow path through which a component heated with the first nip part and vaporized from the wax is guided to an exhaust part via an inside space of the cover member, at a position arranged opposite to at least one of the first and second rotors, to regulate the passage of the vaporized component; the regulation member can move between a first position to regulate the passage and a second position retreated from the first position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】気流経路を狭めるために経路に沿って内壁部材を定着部材に接近させる場合のような弊害がなく、簡素な構成で、ワックス気化成分の排出部への通過を抑えることができる定着装置を提供する。【解決手段】第1の回転体と、第1のニップ部を形成する対向体と、第2のニップ部を形成する第2の回転体を有し、第1の回転体を加熱する加熱手段と、第1、第2の回転体の少なくとも一部を囲うカバー部材と、を有し、第1のニップ部でワックスを含有するトナー画像を記録材に加熱定着する定着装置で、第1のニップ部で加熱されワックスから気化した成分のカバー部材の内側空間を介して排出部に導かれる気流経路で、第1、第2の回転体の少なくとも一方と対向する位置に、気化した成分の通過を規制する規制部材を有し、規制部材は、通過を規制する第1の位置と、第1の位置より退避した第2の位置と、に移動可能とする。【選択図】図2
