PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staining basket which allows arrangement of slide glass with the longitudinal direction of the slide glass in both the vertical direction and the horizontal direction when the slide glass is immersed in a stain solution.SOLUTION: A staining basket includes a rectangular parallelepiped basket main body 1 and a side surface grip 10 provided on a side surface part of the basket main body. The basket main body is capable of storing a plurality of pieces of glass in parallel and includes an opening part 6 that is capable of storing the plurality of pieces of slide glass in parallel and allows removal of the pieces of slide glass along the longitudinal direction; a bottom surface part 7 that is provided on a surface opposite to the opening part and supports the pieces of slide glass; and a side surface part that is a surface between the opening part and the bottom surface part.
