Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve availability by reducing the influence of heat due to a discharge current in cell balance processing and suppressing false detection of temperature.SOLUTION: A battery monitoring device of an embodiment is a battery monitoring device performing the management of a battery module having a plurality of battery cells connected in series. A cell balance circuit of the battery monitoring device performs cell balance processing in which battery cells to be discharged among the plurality of battery cells are individually discharged. An energy radiation circuit of the cell balance circuit radiates the discharge electric power of the battery cells to be discharged by converting it into light energy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】セルバランス処理における放電電流に起因した発熱による影響を低減し、温度の誤検出を抑制して可用性を向上する。【解決手段】実施形態の電池監視装置は、直列接続された複数の電池セルを備えた電池モジュールの管理を行う電池監視装置である。電池監視装置のセルバランス回路は、複数の電池セルのうち放電対象の電池セルを個別に放電させるセルバランス処理を行う。そして、セルバランス回路のエネルギー放散回路は、前記放電対象の電池セルの放電電力を光エネルギーに変換して放散させる。【選択図】図2
