Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a delivery method of agents to the brain, particularly a novel slow intraventricular delivery method for brain diagnosis, treatment and imaging.SOLUTION: A method comprises administering an agent to a patient via a lateral ventricle of the brain at a rate of administration with which a single dose consumes more than two hours. Neurological diseases, including lysosomal storage diseases, are treated using intraventricular delivery of therapeutic agents to a bypass of the blood-brain barrier. Similarly, diagnostic agents and anesthetic agents can be delivered to the brain in this manner. The administration can be performed slowly to achieve the maximum effect. Such administration permits greater penetration into distal portions of the brain.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】脳への薬剤の送達に関し、特に、脳の診断、治療、および造影に関する新規遅速性脳室内送達方法の提供。【解決手段】単回投与が2時間を超える時間を費やすような投与の速度で、脳の側脳室を経由して患者へ薬剤を投与することを含む方法であり、リソソーム蓄積症を含む、神経系の疾患を、血液脳関門のバイパスへの治療剤の脳室内送達を用いて治療する。同様に、診断剤および麻酔剤もこのようにして脳に送達できる。投与は最大の効果を得るために遅速性で行うことができる。このような投与は脳の末梢部へのより大きな浸透を可能とする。【選択図】なし
