Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vortex flow type pump unit which is inexpensive and achieves excellent durability and low noise.SOLUTION: In a vortex flow type pump unit, a rotary shaft of an electric motor penetrates through a synthetic resin-made casing and is fastened to a shaft sealing device and an impeller in a written order. Further, a casing cover is fastened to the casing through an O ring in a water-tight state so as to cover the impeller. The vortex flow type pump unit conducts vortex flow pump action by rotation of the rotary shaft. The vortex flow type pump unit includes an inner ring integrally including a division wall body, which separates the suction side of the synthetic resin-made casing from the discharge side, and a liner body including a liner surface. The inner ring is formed by an elastic material.
