Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical film, which prevents appearance defects caused by foreign substances and/or air bubbles even when the optical film is thin.SOLUTION: An optical film manufacturing method includes a first coating step for removing foreign substances by coating adhesion surfaces of first and second films with a liquid material having a viscosity of 1 to 10000 cP by means of a post-metered coating method. The method preferably includes a second coating step in which: when only an adhesion surface of one of the films is coated with the liquid material, an adhesion surface of a film not coated with the liquid material is coated with a bonding or adhesive composition by means of the post-metered coating method; or when the adhesive surfaces of both films are coated with the liquid material, at least an adhesive surface of one film is coated with the bonding or adhesive composition by means of the post-metered coating method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】光学フィルムが薄型であっても、異物および/または気泡に起因した外観欠点の発生が防止された光学フィルムの製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】後計量塗布方式を用いて、第1フィルムの貼合面および第2フィルムの貼合面に、粘度が1〜10000cPである液状物を塗布することにより、異物を除去する第1塗布工程を有する光学フィルムの製造方法。液状物を一方のフィルムの貼合面のみに塗布する場合は液状物を塗布していないフィルムの貼合面に、あるいは液状物を両方のフィルムの貼合面に塗布する場合は少なくとも一方のフィルムの貼合面に、後計量塗布方式を用いて、接着剤組成物または粘着剤組成物を塗布する第2塗布工程を有することが好ましい。【選択図】図1
