Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information management system capable of performing accurate and seamless position measurement, even at a portable terminal moving indoors and outdoors.SOLUTION: A position information management system of the present application is equipped with a position information database in which the values of radio wave strength of a wireless LAN base station at a plurality of sample points or the position information of a plurality of wireless LAN base stations are preregistered, and equipped with a position information management device for providing a portable terminal with the position measurement accuracy information determined on the basis of the radio wave strength measured by the portable terminal, the portable terminal evaluating the accuracy of position measurement by GPS satellites that is obtained on the basis of the bearing angle and signal strength of the radio wave received from a plurality of GPS satellites and the position measurement accuracy information by wireless LAN, and selecting either the position measurement by GPS satellites or the position measurement by wireless LAN on the basis of the evaluation result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】屋外および屋内を移動する携帯端末においても、正確でシームレスな位置測定を行うことができる位置情報管理システムを提供する。【解決手段】本願の位置情報管理システムでは、複数のサンプルポイントにおける無線LAN基地局の電波強度の値または、複数の無線LAN基地局の位置情報が予め登録された位置情報データベースを備え、携帯端末において測定された電波強度に基づき決定された位置測定精度情報を携帯端末に提供する位置情報管理装置を備え、携帯端末において、複数のGPS衛星から受信する電波の方位角と信号強度に基づいて取得したGPS衛星による位置測定の精度と無線LANによる位置測定精度情報を評価し、その評価結果に基づきGPS衛星による位置測定と無線LANによる位置測定のいずれかを選択する。【選択図】 図2 |
