Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of adequately sealing one end of a separation membrane structure main body.SOLUTION: A separation membrane structure includes: a separation membrane structure main body having a base material formed of a tubular porous inorganic material and a separation membrane formed on an inner surface or an outer surface of the base material; and a seal member which seals one end part of the separation membrane structure main body and is formed of an elastic material. The seal member includes an opening covering part which covers an opening of the one end part of the separation membrane structure main body, and a surface covering part which covers at least a part of a surface with the separation membrane formed out of the inner surface and the outer surface of the separation membrane structure main body.
