Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an image quality by implementing high-resolution image processing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image processing section for generating image data of a first resolution and tag information indicating whether a pixel constitutes a character or a line; a resolution conversion section for converting the image data of the first resolution into image data of a second resolution higher than the first resolution; and a light source drive section for driving a light source in accordance with the image data of the second resolution.
