Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce emission failure of an EL element due to deposition failure of an organic EL material in an electrode hole 46.SOLUTION: After an insulator is embedded in an electrode hole 46 on a pixel electrode to form a protection part 41b, an organic EL material is deposited, thereby preventing deposition failure in the electrode hole 46. Thus, the occurrence of current concentration due to a short circuit between a cathode and an anode of the EL element is prevented to prevent emission failure of an EL layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】電極ホール46における有機EL材料の成膜不良によるEL素子の発光不良を改善することを課題とする。【解決手段】上記課題を達成するために、本発明では画素電極上の電極ホール46に絶縁体を埋め込み、保護部41bを形成させた後、有機EL材料を成膜することで、電極ホール46における成膜不良を防ぐことができる。これにより、EL素子の陰極、陽極間の短絡により電流集中が生じるのを防ぎ、EL層の発光不良を防ぐことができる。【選択図】図1
