Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the occurrence of abnormal sounds such as the squeak and chatter of a blade, suppressing the curling of a tip ridge part, and suppressing the increase of torque with an image carrier, even in a state where toner is hardly supplied to a lubricant application blade, such as when a white paper is fed.SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus including a cleaning blade, a lubricant application brush, and the lubricant application blade from an upstream on the surface of the image carrier, the lubricant application blade comprises a strip-shaped elastic blade and in the elastic blade, a part including the tip ridge part is impregnated with a UV curable resin and/or a surface layer made of the UV curable resin is provided on the surface of the elastic blade including the tip ridge part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】白紙通紙時のような潤滑剤塗布ブレードにトナーがほとんど供給されない状況でも、ブレードの鳴き、ビビリのような異音発生を抑制し、先端稜線部のめくれを抑制し、像担持体とのトルク上昇を抑制することができる画像形成装置を提供すること。【解決手段】像担持体の表面に上流からクリーニングブレード、潤滑剤塗布ブラシ、潤滑剤塗布ブレードを有する画像形成装置において、前記潤滑剤塗布ブレードは短冊形状の弾性ブレードで構成され、前記弾性ブレードは、先端稜線部を含む部分に紫外線硬化樹脂が含浸され、及び／または、先端稜線部を含む該弾性ブレードの表面に紫外線硬化樹脂の表面層が設けられたものであることを特徴とする画像形成装置。【選択図】図１
